Watermelon stars! Pretty simple – just cut watermelon into 1/2″ thick slices and use a star cookie cutter to make cutouts. Serve in a bowl or around your main dish. You can also infuse them in a pitcher of water for a yummy & refreshing drink.
Independence Day Sangria!
6 sliced strawberries
2 pineapple slices (cutout like stars)
1 cup Triple Sec
1/2 cup berry flavored vodka
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup simple syrup
Directions: Combine all ingredients, stir, and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours prior to serving.
White Chocolate Covered Strawberries! Melt white chocolate and dip strawberry until 3/4 of berry is covered. Then dip tip of strawberry in blue sugar crystals. Don’t have blue sugar? Just add food coloring!

1 cup whipping creeam
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon Grand Marnier or Amaretto liqueur
1.5-2 pints fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
In a large mixing bowl, whip the cream and sugar with a mixer until thick but not stiff. Add the sour cream and beat until mixture is thoroughly combined. Continue to beat while gradually pouring in the liqueur.
Divide strawberries between 6 dessert dishes. Reserve 6 strawberries for garnish. Pour cream over berries. Top with a reserved strawberry. Serve immediately.
Crêpe Suzette is a french dessert consisting of a crepe, a sauce of caramelized sugar & butter, orange juice, zest, and Grand Marnier or Orange Curacao liqueur on top, served flambe. Sound amazing? Well dig in, because it’s also International NO DIET Day!
